There is nothing better than the smell of freshly baked bread. Today, I’ll give you the recipe for the most amazing crusty artisan-style bread. The following will list the ingredients that you’ll need :

– 3 cups (450g) flour, bread/plain or all-purpose flour
– 2 tsp instant or rapid-rise yeast
– 2 tsp of salt, cooking / kosher salt
– 1.5 cups (375ml) very warm tap water, NOT boiling or super hot (up to 55*C/130*F)

Firstly, put your dry ingredients (flour, yeast, and salt) into a mixing bowl and mix until everything is well combined. After you have done that, pour your very warm tap water into the bowl and mix so that there are no clumps left.

After 2-3 hours, the dough will have doubled in size and become fluffy. On a clean surface, dust a few pinches of flour and place your dough onto the floured surface. After the dough has been covered with a few sprinkles of flour, fold it in so that the dough has a round shape. Place the dough on the center of a baking sheet and then put it in your (preheated) pot and cover it with a lid.

Place it in the oven for 30 minutes at 180*c. After 30 minutes take the pot out and remove the lid, placing the pot without the lid back into the oven for another 12 minutes until it gets nice golden brown and crispy. After 12 minutes, take the bread out of the pot and let it rest for 10 minutes. Just like that, you’ve made yourself a delicious, freshly baked, artisan-style bread to enjoy.
