Sometimes you just have that sugary craving and that’s okay! Today, I’ll be sharing with you a deliciously secret recipe for vanilla sugar cookies. The following ingredients that you’ll need are:

– 2 3/4 cups of All-Purpose Flour
– 1 tsp of Baking Soda
– 1/2 tsp of Baking Powder
– 1 cup of Butter (softened)
– 1 1/2 cup of (white granulated) Sugar
– 1 tsp of Vanilla Essence
– 1 Egg

In a mixing bowl, mix all your dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, and baking powder) until it is all well incorporated. In another mixing bowl, throw in your softened butter, sugar, vanilla essence, and egg, mix well until everything has been well combined. After you have mixed your wet ingredients, throw your dry ingredients mixture little by little in your mixing bowl with the wet ingredients. Keep mixing the ingredients until it creates a dough. On a clean surface, dust some flour on top and put the dough on the surface. Kneed your dough until it becomes smooth and there isn’t any flour residue.

Preheat your oven at 180*C (356*F) for 10 to 15 minutes. While your oven is preheating, get yourself a baking tray and spray it with cooking spray. Place a baking sheet on the tray and also spray it with cooking spray so that the cookies won’t stick while they bake. Grab a tablespoon size dough and start rolling it into a ball and place it on the tray. Do it until you can’t fit anymore on your tray, make sure there is enough space between the balls of dough because they will expand in the oven.

Place your tray full of cookie dough balls in the oven and let them bake between 12 to 15 minutes. After the time is up, you’ll see that they have expanded in size and are about an inch thick. Who doesn’t enjoy a thick cookie am I right? After you have taken the tray out of the oven let the cookies rest 10 minutes before eating so that they can set properly. And there you have it, delicious-comforting cookies!
